Abigail (Abby) Garlock is an Assistant Account Executive on the local team at Burson in Washington, D.C. In this role, she works across sectors including financial services, sports, nonprofit, and healthcare. She joined Burson in June 2025 as a Harold Burson Summer Intern, gaining valuable experience in local public relations and strategic communications before transitioning to a full-time position.

Prior to joining Burson & Direct Impact, Abby worked at a trade association, where she honed her skills in public affairs, event planning, and marketing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications,with a concentration in public relations, from James Madison University.

One of her favorite undergraduate experiences was serving as a program assistant for the Semester in Florence program where she guided students on how to thrive while studying abroad, just as she had during her own time in Florence.
