Direct Impact is seeking a manager level candidate with a strong understanding of public relations, public policy or political communications. Ideal candidates will have experience with corporate branding and consumer products as well as expertise with public education and/or advocacy campaigns. Candidates must have strong writing skills, project and account management skills and the ability to serve as the front-line manager and client relationship manager for large accounts.
The candidate will oversee planning and execution of multi-market client programs and will be responsible for making significant contributions to strategic direction for a client.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Supervise external field operatives on a project basis.
- Provide counsel, strategy and direction of accounts.
- Provide ideas to clients to maximize campaign results and/or anticipate issues.
- Manage project profitability and financial aspects of accounts.
- Develop grassroots communications plans for clients.
- Assist with developing and pitching new business opportunities for Direct Impact
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in public relations, public education or other related communications field. Public relations agency, hill/political or other client-facing experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience drafting press releases, media advisories and other press materials
- Skilled at developing and delivering presentations and pitches for clients and prospective clients.
- Ability to think creatively.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
